However, on “Quiet Public Holidays,” a dancing ban is in effect in Bavaria until midnight. Only then can the celebrations resume in Munich’s clubs and bars.
All Saints’ Day: What is Allowed on the Quiet Holiday
The dancing ban ends at midnight. This means clubs and discos can be open, but dancing is only permitted after the holiday ends—i.e., from 00:00 on November 2nd. Music is allowed as long as it corresponds to the “serious character of the day,” as the City of Munich emphasizes. Heavy metal or techno generally do not qualify.
Private parties are unaffected as long as they are not publicly accessible.
These Parties Start on the Night of November 2nd
- Milla Club – Cupcake Club (from 23:59)
90s and 2000s pop with plenty of girl power. The Dragxbar crew also brings lots of glitter and good vibes. Admission around €10.
- Helene Disco – Clash! (from 22:00)
“Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?” This cult disco in Schwabing starts the Saturday night earlier because of Halloween. They play everything fun—from the 70s to today.
- Sauna Club (from 23:00)
Things heat up in this popular underground club: “Expect sweat,” promise the organizers.
- Blitz Club (from 23:00)
Techno fans get their fix here: The resident duos Blasha & Allatt and Steffi & Virginia are playing back-to-back. No dress code, no phones—just honest music on two floors. Tickets around €20.
- P1 – We Dance Again (from 23:00)
“Hugs with friends and people we love”—P1 focuses on big emotions and deep bass. The once “strictest door in Munich” opens the dance floor as usual just after midnight.
- Import/Export – Cumbia de los Muertos (from 20:00)
An alternative program starts even before midnight: at the “Día de los Muertos” festival, plenty of mezcal flows so everyone can try dancing to salsa or cumbia. In cooperation with the Bund für Geistesfreiheit Munich—as a symbolic protest against the dancing ban. Admission: €13.
So, for those who prefer to party on All Saints’ Day instead of—or in addition to—Halloween, Munich’s nightlife won’t let you down.
