1. General Provisions
1.1. All exclusive proprietary and non-proprietary copyrights to published materials belong to the editorial team “On Duty in Munich” unless otherwise directly indicated in the text of the material.
1.2. Non-proprietary copyrights remain with the authors of publications and are protected in accordance with current European Union legislation.
1.3. Protection of personal non-proprietary and proprietary rights of copyright subjects is carried out in accordance with the norms of civil, administrative, and criminal legislation of the EU.
1.4. The term “works” in these Rules refers to all materials (information messages, articles, analytical reviews, interviews, consultations, photographs, etc.) created by employees of the “On Duty in Munich” editorial team.
1.5. The content of the “On Duty in Munich” editorial team (web portal munchen.news) is intended for audiences aged 18 and over. By using the portal’s materials, the visitor confirms that they have reached the specified age requirement.
2. Terms of Free Use and Limitations
2.1. Use of materials means any reproduction, publication, distribution, adaptation, translation of the work, inclusion of its components in other works, and other methods of use provided for by the European Copyright Regulation.
2.2. Use of information messages (news) published on the resources of the “On Duty in Munich” portal is permitted provided that an active hyperlink (open for indexing by search engines) to the main page of the portal https://munchen.news is mandatory.
2.3. For content types such as interviews, online conferences, and expert discussions, no more than 500 characters of the respondent’s text may be used to create one information material (without limiting the total number of materials with quotes from this respondent). Placement of an active hyperlink to the page with the full version of the interview or conference on the portal https://munchen.news is mandatory. Publication of these materials in full is prohibited.
2.4. The hyperlink to the source must be placed exclusively in the first or second paragraph of the text. Placing a link to the portal under the main text of the borrowed material is considered a violation of these Rules and current EU legislation and indicates unauthorized use of content.
2.5. Use of articles (author’s texts) and interviews is regulated as follows: quotation of no more than 500 characters is allowed for forming a news message; in all other cases, written consent from the “On Duty in Munich” editorial team is required. Use of photographic materials is prohibited. Also strictly prohibited is the use of advertising materials, except for cases provided for by separate license agreements.
2.6. Materials from public events (internet conferences, press conferences, round tables, online broadcasts) conducted on the munchen.news portal are intended for non-commercial private use. Any use of such materials in the media must include an indication of the primary source (“On Duty in Munich”) in the first or second paragraph of the text and/or the venue of the public event.
2.7. Reproduction of materials from the “On Duty in Munich” editorial team (in whole or in part) by news aggregators is permitted only with written permission from the editorial team and subject to compliance with the requirements of clause 2.9 of these Rules.
“News aggregators” refer to any software products, applications, services, or web resources that collect content from information sources through RSS channels or other methods and partially or completely reproduce it to users in the form of news blocks, feeds, streams, etc.
2.8. The “On Duty in Munich” editorial team provides written permissions for the use of its materials to news aggregators at its own discretion based on an official request sent to the email address office@munchen.news. The editorial team reserves the right to request any additional information necessary to make a decision on granting permission.
Use of the editorial team’s materials is possible only after receiving an official written permission, which may be sent to the aggregator’s postal address or in electronic form. The permission may apply to individual materials or to all current and future publications of the munchen.news portal and is valid for the period specified therein.
2.9. Material is considered properly formatted if the following conditions are met:
1) The material contains an original title and lead paragraph (brief announcement of the publication’s content);
2) At the end of the material, a direct link to the original publication is indicated;
3) Under the announcement, an active hyperlink to the full version of the material on the munchen.news portal is placed;
Use of the “On Duty in Munich” editorial team’s logo is permitted exclusively for formatting materials in news aggregators according to these Rules. Any other use of the logo without the editorial team’s permission is prohibited.
3. Liability for Violations
3.1. Any commercial use of materials, reproduction of texts or their fragments for profit-making purposes is prohibited, including the use of texts in interactive databases without written permission from the “On Duty in Munich” editorial team.
3.2. Violation of any provision of these Rules constitutes an infringement of the exclusive proprietary and non-proprietary copyrights of the “On Duty in Munich” editorial team and may lead to legal liability in accordance with civil, administrative, and criminal legislation.
3.3. The “On Duty in Munich” editorial team reserves the right to include copyright violators in a special register.
3.4. In accordance with the norms of current EU legislation, the “On Duty in Munich” editorial team has the full right to protect its interests by filing complaints with law enforcement agencies and claims with judicial authorities in case of violation of its rights.
