This time, the victim was a 64-year-old woman with ties to New York, assaulted in the mezzanine level of a fast-food restaurant.
According to a statement from the Munich police, the same two girls—aged 14 and 15—who had previously attacked a 17-year-old on Tuesday were again involved in a violent confrontation. Approximately 29 hours after the first incident, the pair was allegedly responsible for another escalation in the same vicinity.
Confrontation Sparked by Photograph Ends in Assault
Initial police investigations revealed that the conflict began when the woman, a German-American born in the United States, took a photo of the teenagers with her smartphone. When she reportedly refused to delete the picture upon their request, the situation became heated. Verbal exchanges followed, including mutual insults, according to police sources.
The argument soon turned physical. Both teenagers allegedly attacked the woman, causing her to fall during the altercation. Although she did not suffer visible injuries, the 15-year-old reportedly yanked clumps of hair from the woman’s head during the incident.
Suspects Released Following Police Procedure
Police confirmed that after completing the necessary procedures, and in consultation with the Munich I Public Prosecutor’s Office, the two suspects were released. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
This second episode has drawn renewed attention to youth violence and recurring offenders in public spaces, especially within critical transit hubs such as the main station area.
