Allach-Untermenzing — On the evening of Thursday, January 29, a toilet on the second floor of a school in the Allach-Untermenzing district was clogged with a trash bag. The police report states that the flushing mechanism was jammed to ensure a continuous flow of water. Overnight, the overflowing water flooded the entire floor. A teacher who was the first to enter the premises on Friday morning, January 30, discovered that the water level reached ankle height.
Intentional Damage to Plumbing Caused School Flooding in Allach-Untermenzing
Following a report from school management, police identified a suspect, who turned out to be a middle school student. The student admitted to clogging the toilet; however, he denied intentionally blocking the flushing mechanism. Consequently, the investigation regarding a possible second unidentified accomplice continues. The case has been referred to the 25th Commissariat.
Classrooms Rendered Unusable Following Flood with Six-Figure Damage
All educational spaces on the first and second floors are currently unusable. Floors are being dried using several ventilation units. Police have estimated the potential damage at a six-figure sum.
