Cancellations and Delays Expected at Munich Central Station This Friday

Repair work on signaling technology is currently underway at Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). As a result, some trains are being forced to terminate their routes early, while other services have been canceled entirely.

Representatives from Deutsche Bahn have announced traffic restrictions at Munich Central Station. The cause is urgent repairs to signaling equipment following cable damage.

Affected Routes and Service Changes

The disruptions specifically affect the section between Munich and Landshut. According to the carrier, trains arriving from the direction of Regensburg or Hof are now terminating in Landshut instead of continuing to Munich. Services on the RE3 line are still running, but they are being diverted on the section between Freising and Munich Central Station.

On the line between Buchloe and Munich, some services have been canceled, while others follow the regular schedule. Trains heading toward Munich from the direction of Garmish-Partenkirchen, Weilheim, and Kochel are reportedly only traveling as far as Starnberg. Passengers are advised to transfer to the S-Bahn (suburban train) to complete their journey.

Due to this technical fault, delays should be expected, and trains on the aforementioned routes may be canceled on very short notice. Repair work is scheduled to be completed by this evening.
