At Munich Airport, an Airbus A321 operated by Air France arrived on an unscheduled basis. According to the aviation portal avherald, the incident involved flight AF-1695 from Budapest to Paris. The aircraft had departed Budapest around 6:30 a.m., but when the route was altered near Salzburg, the crew decided to divert to Munich. Flight tracking data showed that the plane executed a turn over the district of Rottal-Inn before heading toward Erdinger Moos and landing in Munich.
According to the portal, a fire alarm in the aircraft’s galley triggered the crew’s decision. The plane landed safely in Munich and remained on the ground for about five hours before continuing its journey to Paris.
Rail passengers on the Munich–Salzburg route also had to contend with delays on the same day. A train operated by Bayerische Regiobahn was unable to reach its destination as planned due to a cable break. Instead of arriving in Salzburg two hours after departure from Munich Central Station, the train only reached the city six hours later.
