Nürnberg Pop 2026 lineup expands with new performers

The lineup for Nürnberg Pop 2026 continues to grow rapidly, with the participation of 22 more artists confirmed. In total, approximately 100 performers will appear on unconventional stages throughout the old town of Nuremberg. In October, the historic city center will again transform into a single creative space where music will sound in the most unexpected places.

Churches and cozy clothing stores, austere museum halls and vinyl record shops, open rooftops and busy public squares, nightclubs and intimate cultural centers: dozens of diverse locations will become concert venues.

From October 8 to 10, 2026, the Nürnberg Pop festival will be held there again. According to the organizers, it is recognized as the largest club and showcase festival in Southern Germany. The scale of the event is emphasized not only by the number of participants but also by the uniqueness of the format, which allows viewers to discover new talents in the atmosphere of the ancient city.

New vibrant artists will be added to the names already known. An official press release issued by the project representatives on Friday stated that 22 performers joined the list. This will significantly expand the genre palette of the program and cover even more musical directions—from bold punk to thoughtful indie and modern rap.

From Sprints to Aaron: Nürnberg Pop organizers announced the new participants

Among the most notable names on the updated list is the Irish post-punk band Sprints. The collective is known for its incredibly energetic sound and has recently opened for legendary world bands, earning critical acclaim. Also among the invited guests is Aaron, who previously gained fame primarily as a talented producer and concert musician for artists like Zartmann and Ski Aggu. Now, the artist is presenting his own original material to a wide audience. With the band Gringo Mayer und die Kegelband, a formation that masterfully combines classic indie rock, colorful dialect, and subtle humor will arrive in Nuremberg.

International perspectives will be brought to the program by, among others, Panicbaby—one of the most prominent debutantes in European pop music—as well as the Austrian performer Magda, who has already attracted close attention with a series of sold-out concerts. Jugo Ürdens, whose work balances at the intersection of rap, indie, and popular music, also joined the new participants.

Additionally, the number of participants will grow quantitatively: the participation of projects such as Ão, Baby B3NS, Dr. Umwuchts Tanzpalast, and the unique Nuremberg collective Indiekneipenchor (indie choir) will be officially confirmed. The list will be completed by Julia Effekt, Lgoony, Lisl, Lucy Dreams, Marta Del Grandi, Patina Records, Patrick James, Personal Trainer, Rémi.fr, The SoapGirls, Yara, and Yndling. Thus, a harmonious mix of in-demand international artists, recognized stars, and promising local projects will be presented at the festival.

In total, about 100 performers and groups will perform during the three-day marathon. The first part of the program was announced in December, including the atmospheric project orbit and the charismatic duo Cari Cari. Organizers emphasize that preparations for the festival are in full swing, and tickets for individual venues may sell out long before the start of the event.Source: Nürnberg Pop Press Release
