Munich – S-Bahn passengers should prepare for disruptions this September. On four separate nights, trains will be canceled between Munich Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) and Pasing due to essential construction work. Here is the list of affected nights:
German Rail Announces Significant Train Cancellations in Munich Affected Dates
- September 1st to 2nd (Sunday night)
- September 2nd to 3rd (Monday night)
- September 9th to 10th (Monday night)
- September 10th to 11th (Tuesday night)
According to Deutsche Bahn, cancellations will occur between 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM on these dates. This will affect the Regionalbahn RB6 service between these two key Munich stations.
However, passengers have an alternative: rail replacement bus services will be provided. These buses will not only stop at the main station and in Pasing but will also make additional stops. Passengers will be able to board and alight at Donnersbergerbrücke, Hirschgarten, and München-Laim stations. Deutsche Bahn explains that this will ensure a connection to the wider Munich S-Bahn network.
