Dachauer Straße will be closed in Moosach due to road resurfacing

These necessary measures to maintain the road infrastructure in proper condition will lead to temporary changes in familiar routes. The restrictions will directly affect not only private vehicle owners but also the schedules of regular bus services connecting this area with the rest of the city.

The Munich Construction Department will begin large-scale road repairs on Dachauer Straße on the stretch between Gröbenzeller Straße and Eininger Straße. For the entire period of technical work, this section will be closed to through traffic from Monday, March 30, until approximately Friday, April 10.

Official confirmation of the start and end dates of the road works was in a Munich Municipality press release. A particularly complex stage is planned for the finale of the repair campaign: on the night from Thursday, April 9, to Friday, April 10, in the short interval from midnight to five in the morning, the closure zone will additionally extend to the intersection of Dachauer Straße and Eininger Straße itself. Drivers are advised to exercise increased vigilance during these days.

Buses will change routes due to construction work in Moosach

Public transport will also adapt to the new traffic conditions. The movement of regular buses during the active phase of construction will be organized according to a temporary detour scheme running through Eininger Straße, Günzburger Straße, Eckehartstraße, and Moosburger Straße.

Passengers should take into account in advance a possible increase in travel time due to the change in route trajectories. At the same time, the interests of the most mobile groups of the population will not be infringed upon: cyclists and pedestrians will be able to safely cross the road work zone. For their convenience, builders will arrange special protected passages in the immediate vicinity of the construction site.
