Munich to Host New Year’s Eve Mile with Four Stages in the City Center

Munich – Preparations are already in full swing: there are just under two and a half months left until the end of 2025.

In Munich, the turn of the year will be celebrated with a unique street festival. At the 2025 New Year’s Eve Mile, all visitors can expect an exciting music program.

According to the organizers’ press release, the event will take place on Munich’s Ludwigsstraße between the Siegestor and Von-der-Tann-Straße. It starts at 7:00 PM and celebrations will continue until 2:00 AM. Ticket sales for the street festival will begin on October 16, according to the organizers.

Visitors to the New Year’s Eve Mile can look forward to a diverse music program. Four stages will feature a mix of pop & party music, hip-hop, electronic sounds, and local up-and-coming talent. The full program will be published shortly on the New Year’s Eve Mile website: www.silvestermeile.de.

Catering for the revelers is also taken care of. A wide variety of large and small food trucks and stalls will offer a rich selection for all the thirsty and hungry, with a focus, according to the organizers, on regional dishes and ingredients from Bavaria.

Visually, Munich’s grand boulevard will be specially adorned for the big night, as various light artists from Bavaria and Germany will illuminate the event area. The City of Munich decided at the end of 2024 to trial the New Year’s Eve Mile.

Tickets for the 2025 New Year’s Eve Mile go on sale on October 16. The advance sale starts with Early Bird tickets for €33 (plus booking fees). This limited offer is valid for 48 hours or while stocks last. Regular ticket sales will then start at €40 (plus booking fees), with family passes also available at a reduced price. Tickets are available from the ticket partners Fever and München Ticket.

Additionally, a total of 400 free tickets will be distributed, mostly through Kulturraum München. Interested individuals can obtain these tickets exclusively as registered “KulturGäste” at site.
