Flixbus Launches Direct Service from Munich to London with 22-Hour Nonstop Route

Travelers from Munich who want to visit the iconic city on the Thames will no longer have to rely solely on air travel. Flixbus has introduced a new direct bus route connecting Munich with London.

The new service offers a convenient journey without transfers. Over the approximately 22-hour route, the long-distance bus makes stops in cities including Nuremberg, Frankfurt, Brussels, and Lille before reaching its final destination at Victoria Coach Station, London’s central bus terminal.

Departures from Munich are scheduled daily at 9:40 p.m., with arrivals in London expected around 7:00 p.m. the following day. By comparison, a direct flight between Munich and London takes about two hours, while a train journey takes nearly ten hours but involves multiple transfers.

According to Flixbus, the ticket price also covers the ferry crossing of the English Channel. A last-minute ticket from Munich to London costs approximately 74 euros, plus an additional fee for seat reservation, according to a dpa investigation.

Following the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union, travelers must undergo an additional security check before entering the country. Furthermore, since the beginning of this year, an electronic travel authorization (ETA) has been required to enter the UK.
