The German Weather Service warned of snowfall in several districts
In the vicinity of Munich, the weather service (DWD) predicted light snowfall until Thursday night. This affected all districts up to the Allgäu. In the period covered by the warning, light snow will fall in amounts from 1 cm to 3 cm. The snowfall line will rise to 1500 meters. Icy conditions are expected everywhere, the agency reported. In eastern Bavaria, the DWD warned of heavy snowfall in five districts, with precipitation amounts of up to 40 centimeters of fresh snow, at least in the foothills.
Weather change in Munich on the weekend: sun and 15 degrees
While meteorologists still predicted real winter weather for Thursday and Friday with freezing temperatures in some places and snowfall in the state capital, the situation will change on the weekend. Already on Saturday, the temperature will begin to rise, and according to the current forecast, heavy rain is expected. On Sunday, thermometers will rise to double digits, and during the following week, it will become even warmer. On Wednesday (February 25, 2026), clear sunny weather is expected at 15 degrees.
