Visitors were well provided for with a variety of food and drink, including beer, spritzers, cocktails, and spritz, as well as hearty grilled specialties and sweet crêpes. The event’s musical program started with a performance by the youth wind orchestra of the Musikverein Trudering. From 6 p.m., the Big Band took over the stage.
The highlight of the evening, the large bonfire, was lit at dusk, carefully timed so that even the youngest guests could witness the spectacle.
In addition to the main attractions, a diverse supporting program was offered: FC Stern München organized activities for children, such as a skill course, goal shooting, and a tin can throwing game. FC Dreistern was also present with its own stand. The youth group of the Volunteer Fire Department Trudering demonstrated how children could practice firefighting skills at a training wall. A face-painting station was also set up for the little ones.
“Sixteen years of the Solstice Bonfire stand for community spirit, volunteer dedication, and living tradition,” emphasized Stefan Hähnlein, first chairman of the Burschenverein Trudering. Andreas Wolf, chairman of the Friends of the Volunteer Fire Department Trudering, also expressed his delight: “Especially during the Solstice Bonfire, it becomes clear every year how harmoniously and trustingly we all now work together.”
