Night Transport: How to Get Home Late

For returning home late at night, MVG recommends using the night lines. In the city center, service is available every 15 minutes in all directions.

Subway lines U2, U3, and U5 run every 30 minutes, with transfer connections at central stations (Hauptbahnhof, Odeonsplatz, Sendlinger Tor) as well as Scheidplatz (U3/U2) and Innsbrucker Ring (U5/U2).

Lines U1, U4, and U6 also run every 30 minutes but offset by 15 minutes from the other lines.

At Karlsplatz (Stachus), the four night tram lines N17, N19, N20, and N27 stop on the hour and half hour.

Important: Shuttle buses provided by MVG are free of charge for ticket holders of the Long Night of Music and do not require an additional transit ticket. However, the shuttle service does not automatically cover the journey to and from the general event area.
