Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt — On Tuesday, January 27, a clash broke out between several individuals at Munich Central Station. According to police reports, an emergency call was received at approximately 4:30 PM reporting a man armed with a knife. Numerous emergency personnel were immediately dispatched to the station.
Arrest in Ludwigsvorstadt: Assailant Apprehended Following Attack
Upon arrival, police officers located two 37-year-old men of Nigerian nationality, residing in Miesbach and the Oberpfaffenhofen district. Both men reported a conflict with three other individuals that escalated into an assault. During the confrontation, one of the 37-year-old participants sustained a wound to his arm. The three suspects attempted to flee Munich Central Station on foot before the primary police forces could arrive.
Suspect Detained After Shots Fired: Police Investigating Station Assault
Police immediately initiated a manhunt and were able to detain one of the suspects. During the arrest, officers made use of their firearms. The detainee was identified as a 25-year-old man of Turkish nationality residing in Baden-Württemberg. An investigation into dangerous bodily harm has been launched against the 25-year-old. Commissariat 24 has continued to clarify the exact details of the incident, including a standard review of the lawfulness of the weapon discharge by the officers.
