This event series brings sunshine, sand, and an exciting cultural program directly into the city at two central locations: Wittelsbacherbrunnen at Maximiliansplatz and Vater-Rhein-Brunnen at Ludwigsbrücke.
The initiative is organized once again by urbanauten, who have worked to create temporary public spaces that serve as lively meeting points. According to the organizers, the selected areas for this year’s cultural beaches are typically dominated by car traffic and lacked infrastructure to make them inviting for visitors. By adding beach bars, restroom facilities, and a cultural program, these spaces are transformed into vibrant social hubs for all ages.
