Erding Plans to Revive Industrial Park Project for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises

Since the planned settlement of businesses on the former military airfield (Fliegerhorst) will not take place, the city of Erding is returning to a project planned some time ago: an industrial park for small and medium-sized enterprises will be created between Anton-Bruckner-Strasse and south of the Siglfing district.

Erding. The city-owned plot of land covers an area of 38,000 square meters and will be offered in 17 different-sized parcels for purchase, rent, or long-term lease (Erbpacht). Mayor Max Gotz and Head of Urban Development Christian Famira-Parzetic presented the “Industrial Park” project at the city’s business reception. Famira-Parzetic emphasized that the location on Anton-Bruckner-Strasse is optimal, mentioning the good connection to the airport’s eastern bypass road and the availability of bus and bicycle routes.

Construction Start Date Not Yet Determined

Initial plans include creating a green area for noise insulation of the adjacent residential buildings in Siglfing. “When construction will begin is not yet determined, as interested parties must first give binding commitments to participate,” Christian Wanninger from the city’s press office told our editors. Interested individuals can obtain further information from the Urban Development Department of the city administration by phone at (0 81 22) 408 611 or by email at stadtentwicklung@erding.de.
