Disturbing Discovery in Wiesenstraße Apartment
On April 30, residents of a multi-unit building on Wiesenstraße in Nuremberg alerted police after hearing cries for help from a fourth-floor apartment. Officers who responded to the call forced entry and found the body of a 19-year-old man and a teenage girl suffering from life-threatening injuries. According to investigators, both victims bore signs of extreme violence.
The severely injured girl, who has since been identified as 14 years old, was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery that same evening. Her condition is now considered stable, police reported.
Mourning and Memorials at the Crime Scene
In the wake of the tragedy, mourners have gathered outside the building to leave candles and flowers in memory of the young man who lost his life. The entrance to the apartment remains sealed with a police notice, and visible traces of blood remain at the scene.
Ongoing Investigation Points to Potential Third Person
The homicide division has taken over the investigation and continues to collect forensic evidence, conduct interviews with residents, and search the surrounding area for clues. While the identity of the girl has been confirmed, police have declined to disclose the nature of her relationship with the deceased, citing tactical reasons.
Early evidence and witness accounts suggest the involvement of at least one additional person in the attack. Investigators are now focusing on a possible suspect who may have known both the victim and the injured teenager personally.
Due to the girl’s current medical condition, she has not yet been able to provide a statement. Police are working closely with the Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor’s office to fully uncover the circumstances surrounding the crime.
