Around 20 Detainees Vandalized Property and Caused Flooding
According to police reports, approximately 20 inmates were involved in the riot, which took place during the evening hours. The men reportedly destroyed all water taps on the ground floor and first floor, resulting in significant flooding throughout the building. In addition, furniture and other fixtures were deliberately damaged. The reasons for the escalation remained unclear.
Staff Called Police After Failing to Restore Order
Initial attempts by facility staff to de-escalate the situation were unsuccessful, prompting them to call the police for assistance. Multiple police vehicles and units from the Bavarian riot police were dispatched to secure the premises and restore order.
Authorities stated that after some time, the rioting detainees retreated to their cells. One of them sustained a shoulder injury, apparently caused by a fall. No injuries were reported among the police officers involved in the operation.
Cells Rendered Uninhabitable, Detainees Relocated
Due to the extensive damage, several detention cells were no longer suitable for use. A police spokesperson confirmed that the affected inmates had been temporarily transferred to other deportation facilities across Bavaria.
Small Protest Held Outside the Facility
During the police operation, a small group of about a dozen individuals gathered outside the facility to hold a spontaneous protest. Police described the demonstration as peaceful and without incident.

The police operation lasted nearly five hours and concluded shortly before midnight. Law enforcement authorities remained on-site throughout the evening to restore and maintain order at the facility.
