Armed Robbers Attack Watch Dealers in Unterschleißheim

Shock in Unterschleißheim: Four suspects attacked two watch dealers. One was knocked to the ground before the attackers took the victims’ bags.

According to police, four masked men allegedly ambushed two Italian watch dealers on Sunday around 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Ballhausforum in Unterschleißheim, where a watch fair had just taken place. The suspects also threatened the 47- and 29-year-old dealers with a firearm.

The younger of the two managed to escape. The 47-year-old, however, was struck on the head, suffering a bleeding laceration and collapsing to the ground. The attackers then stole two bags from the victims’ car. Police reported that the bags contained high-value watches and clothing worth several tens of thousands of euros.

The suspects fled in a car heading north on Federal Highway 13. Based on initial investigations, they switched vehicles in the area of Fahrenzhausen. During the escape, they threw dangerous objects onto the roadway of the B13. According to current police information, no traffic accidents occurred as a result.

Further investigations into aggravated robbery and dangerous interference with road traffic are being conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department 21. Police are asking witnesses who observed suspicious persons or vehicles to call 089 2910-0.
