MUNICH – Winter sports fans in Munich have good news: a new direct service to Austria’s Kleinwalsertal will launch on December 18th. The mobility company FlixBus is adding this route to its schedule and will transport skiers and snowboarders without transfers to the popular ski region.
Direct Connection from Munich to Austria’s Kleinwalsertal
According to its own information, FlixBus will offer the only direct connection from the Bavarian capital to the villages of the Kleinwalsertal. Up to two trips per day will run in each direction, as the Munich-based company announced in a press release. The region is known for its extensive ski slopes. The launch of the new line coincides with the start of the winter season.
Those traveling with skis, snowboards, or other equipment will be able to add them as special luggage when booking and transport them on the bus, the company informed. The three new stops are located in Riezlerne, Hirschegg, and Mittelberg. From there, it’s just a few steps to the lifts and the entrance to the ski runs.
Stops Directly Near the Lifts
Nearby lifts include the Kanzelwandbahn in Riezlerne, the Heubergbahn in Hirschegg, and the Walmendingerhornbahn in Mittelberg, according to FlixBus. This offer is especially attractive during the high season, as travelers can save time searching for parking and spend more time on the slopes, the company explained.
The lowest price for a trip from Munich to Kleinwalsertal starts at €9.99. Those who book in advance get the best fares, according to FlixBus. Tickets are available from now on via the company’s website, the FlixBus app, at the Central Bus Station, and at other official sales points.
