Nationwide Study: Insights into German Road Traffic Safety
In fourth place is Leopoldstraße with 34 accidents. Following with 28 accidents each are Fürstenrieder Straße and Ingolstädter Straße, with three and two serious accident outcomes respectively. On Bayerstraße and Schwanthalerstraße, there were 26 accidents each. In ninth and tenth place are Lerchenauer Straße and Lindwurmstraße, with 25 accidents each.
Allianz Direct conducted the nationwide study to gain insights into German road traffic safety, focusing on the frequency of traffic accidents. Due to the increasing number of cars on the roads and the need for traffic safety to prevent accidents and insurance claims, the aim was to identify regions with a higher risk of accidents.
For this research, data from the Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) and the German Accident Atlas were collected.
