In Munich, Traditional Flea Markets Will Open on the Upcoming Weekend

On the upcoming weekend days, from July 3 to 5, 2026, numerous flea markets will open again in Munich, which traditionally attract collectors, vintage lovers, and simply local residents.

Such trading platforms have long become an important part of the urban culture of the capital of Bavaria, performing not only an economic but also a social function. Open-air trade in the summer season is regulated by municipal rules, and the markets themselves are divided according to their specifics — from large-scale city-wide locations to local neighborhood and courtyard sales.

In order to successfully plan a visit, buyers and sellers need to take into account the geographical position of the sites, the schedule of their work, and the rules of access.

Schedule of work of Munich flea markets on weekend days

Friday, July 3: 7:00 — Antique and flea market in Daglfing (Daglfing Racecourse). This location is oriented toward trade in items of antiquity and furniture.

7:00 — Flea market in the Olympic Park (Munich Olympic Park, Parkharfe parking lot). One of the largest regular sites of the city, administered by the Bavarian Red Cross.

14:00 — Clothes exchange and small flea market “Thing Exchange in Kofra” (KOFRA e.V.). A specialized event with an ecological and charitable bias.

17:00 — M-net courtyard flea markets in Untermenzing (Various sites in Munich). A format of neighborhood initiatives covering private adjacent territories.

Saturday, July 4: 6:00 — Flea market in Riem (Territory of the Riem exhibition complex). The largest market, characterized by a high density of commercial and private sellers.

6:00, 7:00 — Antique and flea market in Daglfing (Daglfing Racecourse). Continuation of the work of the antique rows.

7:00 — Flea market in the Olympic Park (Munich Olympic Park, Parkharfe).

10:00 — M-net courtyard flea markets in Obermenzing (Various sites).

13:00 — Flea market at the animal shelter (Munich Animal Shelter). Revenues from trade are traditionally directed to the charitable needs of the institution.

17:00 — Night flea market Midnightbazar (Old Post Hall, Pineapple Park, entrance fee — from 3.60 €). A format combining trade with a cultural program.

Sunday, July 5: 9:00 — Neighborhood flea market in Taufkirchen (Platanenstrasse and Ahornring). A regional suburban location.

11:00 — M-net courtyard flea markets in Johanneskirchen (Various sites).

The development of the secondary market in Munich reflects the modern trend toward conscious consumption and a circular economy. The integration of such events into the urban environment not only solves the task of utilizing used things but also supports local communities.

In conditions of high inflation and the striving of consumers toward the optimization of expenses, the flea markets of Munich demonstrate a stable growth in attendance, remaining an important indicator of the social and economic moods of the residents of the metropolis.
