The Moierhof in Seon-Seebruck (located approximately 80 kilometers southeast of Munich) received the highest number of positive ratings. Second place went to the Grand Green Resort in Thuringia, followed by the Bergdorf LiebesGrün in Sauerland in third.
Located just 800 meters from Lake Chiemsee, Moierhof is particularly highly regarded by families. The report states: “Moierhof is popular primarily due to its child-friendly offerings, including a play barn, hayloft, campfire, and petting animals.” Guests were also impressed by the modern amenities in the four- and five-star apartments, as well as breakfasts featuring the farm’s own products.
Tourism Ranking Results: Most Popular Accommodations
The top ten list features several other Bavarian hotels. In fourth place is the Alm- & Wellnesshotel Alpenhof in Schönau am Königssee. Fifth place went to the Bergknappenhof in Bodenmais, while Reischlhof in Wegscheid holds the sixth spot. Landhaus Sponsel-Regus in Heiligenstadt (Veilbronn), located in Franconian Switzerland, secured seventh place. Finally, the wellness hotel Zechmeisterlehen, also located in Schönau am Königssee, rounded out the top ten most sought-after hotels.
HolidayCheck representatives clarified that the HolidayCheck Award is based exclusively on verified guest reviews. Over 892,000 comments were analyzed for the period between December 2024 and the end of November 2025. To qualify for the award, a hotel must have at least 50 reviews and a recommendation rate of at least 90 percent. The organizers emphasized: “The portal does not influence the distribution of rankings, and all reviews undergo an authenticity check.”
