Therme Erding Closes Sections for Maintenance Work

In the coming weeks, the world's largest thermal spa will undergo modernization and maintenance work.

As Therme Erding has announced, individual areas will be temporarily closed to renew facilities and carry out legally required inspections. The goal is to keep the offerings in “perfect condition.”

From November 17th to December 8th, both the “Urtherme” and the “VitalOase” will be closed. These areas are part of the spa’s quieter, relaxation-oriented section. During this time, visitors will need to use alternatives—such as the VitalTherme & Saunas, the wave pool, or the Galaxy water slide world, which the operator says will remain open as usual.

The “Seesauna” (Lake Sauna) is affected even earlier: it will remain closed for renovation work until October 10th. Furthermore, the Vital Grotto, Sole Grotto, Onyx steam bath, and the Kneipp hydrotherapy parcours are currently temporarily inaccessible. These facilities are being modernized and technically upgraded.

The operator emphasizes that the work will be carried out “as considerately and quickly as possible.” However, schedule changes are still possible.

Visitors are advised to check the current opening hours before planning a trip. Therme Erding regularly publishes short-term changes and current information on its website.
