What’s the New Film About?
“Steckerlfischfiasko” presents a new case for Franz Eberhofer (Sebastian Bezzel) and Rudi Birkenberger (Simon Schwarz): The local king of grilled fish is found dead in the wellness area of the new golf club – Eberhofer investigates between feuding festival clans and the bustling golfing chic crowd, while Susi runs for mayor. The cinema release is scheduled for summer 2026.
Ed Herzog is once again directing, produced by Kerstin Schmidbauer – the core Eberhofer crew is on board. The series has attracted over 10 million cinema-goers to date; “Steckerlfischfiasko” is part 10 of the successful franchise based on the novels by Rita Falk. (mh)
