Teenager Without License Dies After Crashing Rental Car Into House in Wolfratshausen

A 17-year-old boy was killed early Saturday morning in a high-speed car crash in Wolfratshausen, located in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen.

According to police, the teenager was driving a rented vehicle without a valid driver’s license when he lost control of the car and collided with the corner of a residential building.

The accident occurred as the car was heading toward the town center. The driver veered off the road to the left and slammed into the structure at high speed. The impact was so severe that the young man became trapped inside the heavily damaged Volkswagen. Emergency crews had to extricate him from the wreckage.

Resuscitation Attempts Failed Despite Immediate Medical Care

After being pulled from the vehicle, the severely injured teenager was initially resuscitated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital. However, despite all medical efforts, he died shortly after arrival due to the extent of his injuries.

A 19-year-old passenger from Munich who was also in the car sustained only minor injuries. He was taken to a hospital for observation and treatment.

Unclear How Minor Gained Access to Rental Car

Police confirmed that the vehicle involved in the crash was a rental car. How the underage driver was able to access the vehicle remains under investigation. It is not yet known whether he rented the car himself or obtained it through a third party.

The estimated property damage from the accident is around 45,000 euros, including damage to both the car and the building’s facade.
