In the Coming Weekend, Numerous Broadcasts of World Cup 2026 Matches and Flea Markets Are Expected in Munich

The upcoming weekend in the capital of Bavaria will be marked by a high concentration of major public and sporting events, which will require increased coordination from city services and organizers.

In the period from June 19 to 21, 2026, a large-scale program is planned in Munich, which will combine public viewings of football matches of the world championship and the simultaneous operation of numerous trade locations under the open sky and in pavilions.

In the coming weekend, residents and guests of Munich will receive an opportunity to combine a visit to a flea market and the viewing of World Cup matches under the roof of one logistical complex. Visitors to the specialized location will be able first to study the assortment of the trade rows and then move into the broadcast zone in front of a big screen. This format allows optimizing the flows of visitors and ensuring a high level of comfort for an audience with diverse interests.

However, the combination of football and trade is not the only reason to get acquainted with the schedule of the operation of city locations for the current weekend. In various parts of Munich, the operation of both large centralized spaces and local sales in private inner courtyards is planned.

In addition to the traditional morning markets in the Olympic Park and on the territory of the Daglfing racetrack, on Friday in the second half of the day, local sales of the M-net Hofflohmärkte format will open in the inner courtyards of the Thalkirchen district.

The evening program will be continued by the Thrifty Friday event at the Midnightbazar night bazaar in the building of the former mail sorting station (Alte Paketposthalle). Entrance to the main territory of the market is free, and the cost of tickets to the zone of public viewing of the football match starts from 8.24 euros. In the pavilion, a showing of the World Cup game on a giant screen with the possibility of reserving seats will be organized, and street food points will also open.

Saturday, June 20: Operation of Flea Markets and the Match of the German National Team

At a large market in the Riem district, buyers will be offered a wide assortment of goods — from vintage furniture to collectible items, while public catering will be organized at the location.

More secluded events will take place in the Maxvorstadt district in the format of Hofflohmärkte courtyard sales, where local residents put up for sale clothes and books from personal collections.

In the evening, the Midnightbazar night bazaar will open again in the Paketposthalle pavilion. The program includes a performance by the band Tante Jackie, night trade, and street food. The main event will be the broadcast of the match between the national teams of Germany and Côte d’Ivoire. Tickets for the joint viewing are available online or at the ticket office at the entrance in the presence of free seats.

Sunday, June 21: Cultural Program and Charity Bazaars

In the Milbertshofen cultural center (Kulturhaus Milbertshofen), regardless of weather conditions, an indoor flea market will open. Its program includes live music, coffee meetings, and a puppet theater for children, which fits very well for family recreation.

In Westpark, a charity bazaar will open in support of the animal help service Tierhilfe München. Visitors will be offered antiques, decor items, and books, as well as homemade baked goods and summer salads.

The weekend will be concluded by courtyard sales in the Hasenbergl and Am Hart districts, where private gardens and garage locations will open for visits.
