Charges Filed Against Alleged Holocaust Denier in Upper Bavaria

A 71-year-old resident of Upper Bavaria has been charged with Holocaust denial and the use of Nazi symbols.

According to the Munich Public Prosecutor General’s Office, the Starnberg district resident is accused of incitement to hatred. Investigators state that the defendant possesses a persistent anti-Semitic, right-wing extremist, and xenophobic motivation.

The defendant gained prominence within specific circles, with his videos on platforms such as Telegram reaching an audience of thousands. The Prosecutor General’s Office recorded at least 40 instances of illegal activity. It is alleged that the man disseminated anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, denied the mass murder of Jews during the Nazi dictatorship, and published prohibited symbols.

Suspect Has Prior Convictions

Reportedly, the accused already has several prior convictions for similar offenses. He has been in custody since October 2025. The indictment was submitted to the Munich II District Court by the central commissioner for combating anti-Semitism. The court must now decide whether to proceed with the trial. Until a legally binding verdict is reached, the presumption of innocence applies.
