The fact that other municipalities are also affected by post office closures, as Mayor Andreas Bukowski (CSU) mentioned at a citizens’ meeting, is little consolation for the residents of Haar. “The post office on Leichstrasse will be leaving us in 2026,” Bukowski was forced to announce the bad news.
The exact closing date next year has not yet been set. However, a Postbank spokesperson confirmed to Hallo: “We will close the branch there during the second quarter of 2026.” The precise time is still undetermined. Post Office Closure: Postbank Customers from Haar Will Have to Travel to Trudering
DHL and Post services in Haar will be provided by the Emma-Markt store with a parcel acceptance point, located on the opposite side of the street, after the closure. Bukowski announced this during the citizens’ meeting.
