Update 14:30: According to a fire service spokesperson, firefighters and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) are constructing a wall of shipping containers around the bomb, which is located under a small white tent. The containers are intended to prevent the scattering of debris in the event of a potential explosion. In an emergency, they would direct the force of the blast upward. The defusal is scheduled for Sunday (November 23). By this time, approximately 7,000 people must be evacuated.
First Report from November 19, 10:24: During construction work at the Westfriedhof in Munich-Moosach, workers discovered a 500-kilogram aerial bomb from World War II. The unexploded ordnance is buried at a depth of 1.20 meters and, according to the bomb disposal service, currently poses no danger to the public. Specialists plan to defuse the bomb on-site on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

An area within a 700-meter radius must be evacuated for the defusal procedure. Approximately 7,000 people are affected by this order and must leave their homes by 9:00 AM on Sunday.
