The affected tunnels are the Landshuter Allee Tunnel, the Trappentreu Tunnel, and the Brudermühl Tunnel on the Middle Ring.
These annual maintenance works on the Middle Ring tunnels are standard procedure. The focus is on safety and technical systems, such as fire protection equipment. Additionally, water drainage systems will be inspected and cleaned. All these measures are intended to ensure tunnel safety throughout the year.
The closures in detail:
The Landshuter Allee Tunnel in Neuhausen will be closed in one direction at a time from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, nightly from Monday, October 13, to Friday, October 17. During this time, vehicle traffic will be diverted via the surface road network. Information signs will be posted in advance to notify drivers of the closures. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will not be affected.
The same applies to the closure of the Trappentreu Tunnel between Landsberger Straße and Donnersbergerbrücke in the Westend district. This tunnel will also be closed from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM from October 13 to 17—however, both tunnel tubes will be closed during this period.
The closure of the Brudermühl Tunnel in Sendling will be shorter. From Tuesday, October 14, to Wednesday, October 15, both directions will be closed alternately from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM each night.
For all construction sites, traffic will be diverted via the surrounding road network. Drivers should expect slow-moving traffic, particularly at the start of each closure.
