Stadtwerke München (SWM) has announced the opening hours for its municipal outdoor pools, indoor pools and saunas on this holiday. Visitors can enjoy swimming, relaxation and wellness facilities throughout the holiday.
Outdoor Pool Opening Hours:
All municipal outdoor pools open at 9am on Assumption Day, with these special notes:
- Dantebad (Postillonstraße 17): Stadium area opens at 7:30am
- Michaelibad (Heinrich-Wieland-Straße 24)
- Naturbad Maria Einsiedel (Zentralländstraße 28)
- Prinzregentenbad (Prinzregentenstraße 80)
- Schyrenbad (Claude-Lorrain-Straße 24)
- Ungererbad (Traubestraße 3)
- Westbad (Weinbergerstraße 11)
- Naturbad Georgenschwaige (Belgradstraße 195)
Weather-Related Adjustments:
Thunderstorms: Early closure in late afternoon/evening
Below 25°C and/or continuous rain: Close at 7pm
Below 20°C: Maria Einsiedel, Dante outdoor pool, Michaeli outdoor pool and Ungererbad remain closed
Schyrenbad, Prinzregentenbad and Georgenschwaige: Open until 7pm
Dantebad stadium area: Open until 11pm

Dantebad: 7am-11pm, Sauna 7:30am-10pm
Michaelibad: 7:30am-11pm, Sauna 7:30am-11pm
Müller’sches Volksbad (Rosenheimer Straße 1): 7:30am-11pm, Sauna 2pm-10pm (below 20°C opens at 9am)
Nordbad (Schleißheimer Straße 142): 7:30am-11pm, Sauna 7:30am-11pm
Olympia-Schwimmhalle (Coubertinplatz 1): 7am-11pm, Sauna from 8am
Südbad (Valleystraße 37): 7am-10:30pm, Sauna 2pm-10pm (below 20°C opens at 9am)
Westbad: 7:30am-11pm, Sauna 7:30am-11pm
Important Notes:
- Ticket counters close 30 minutes before closing time
- Last entry to pools and saunas 15 minutes before closing
- All M-Saunas operate mixed-gender on public holidays
