Back in Munich after seven years

Florence Welch unexpectedly announced the band’s return to Germany. Fans were already thrilled by news of the upcoming album Everybody Scream, and now the Munich concert adds another highlight. In total, three Germany shows are planned, with Munich among the select cities.

New album: dark themes for Halloween

The album takes listeners into a world of witchcraft and folk horror, reflecting a cultural trend in which modern horror films and literature often revisit the theme of witches and link it with feminist perspectives.

Welch worked on the project for the past two years with a small circle of collaborators, including Mark Bowen of IDLES, Aaron Dessner, and Mitski. Bowen even makes an appearance in one of the music videos. The album is set to be released on October 31—just in time for Halloween.

Musical influences: from Adele to Swans

Welch revealed that the album draws inspiration from a range of artists, including experimental group Swans, singer Jade, and pop icon Adele. “I was deeply inspired by pop—especially Adele’s powerful ballads and catchy choruses,” Welch explained in an interview. The result promises a blend of pop accessibility and eerie atmosphere, creating a unique sound.

Tour tickets on sale from September 5

Presales for the Germany tour begin on Friday, September 5, at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be available at all usual outlets.

Until then, fans can get ready by revisiting classics like We’ve Got the Love. After seven years away, Florence + The Machine’s return to Munich’s Olympiahalle will be a special occasion for fans.
