A young man fell onto the tracks just as a subway train was approaching. Despite the driver’s immediate emergency braking, the collision could not be avoided, and the man died from his injuries.
Man Falls Directly in Front of Approaching Train
According to a statement from the police, the man was walking toward the edge of the platform shortly before midnight when he suddenly stumbled and fell into the track bed. At that exact moment, a train was entering the station. The driver reacted immediately by initiating an emergency stop, but was unable to prevent the impact. The man was struck by the train and sustained fatal injuries.
No Evidence of Suicide or Third-Party Involvement
Based on current findings by the Munich police, there is no indication that the incident involved foul play or suicidal intent. It remains unclear whether alcohol played a role in the fall. A toxicological examination has been initiated to determine if any substances were involved.
