With thrilling competitions in skateboarding, BMX, and wakeboarding, the festival is set to attract thousands of spectators and top-tier athletes. Most of the participants for this year’s event have already been confirmed, with just a few spots still open.
Skateboarding Contest to Feature International Stars
The skateboarding competition will include 12 men and six women from the global action sports scene. Among them is Germany’s top-ranked park skateboarder, Tyler Edtmayer, who finished third in 2023 and will return with high expectations. Also representing Germany is Lenny Janssen from Düsseldorf.
Major international contenders include Spain’s Danny León, the 2023 champion, along with American Jake Wooten and French rider Vincent Matheron. In the women’s division, British skater Lola Tambling (second place in 2023) and Brazil’s Yndiara Asp (third place last year) are set to compete again.
Another standout is Naia Laso, a three-time Spanish national champion and currently ranked fourth in the world. Her participation adds further excitement to the already competitive field. A complete list of participants is available on the official event website.
BMX Event Brings World-Class Riders to Munich
The BMX competition promises high-flying action, with twelve of the world’s best riders showcasing their skills on the challenging miniramp course by the Olympic Lake. Germany will be represented by 2023 runner-up Paul Thölen from Cologne and Dean Florian from Remscheid, who narrowly missed the podium last year with a fourth-place finish.
They’ll face fierce competition from international BMX stars including Britain’s Tom Justice, 2024 winner Nick Bruce from the USA, and fellow American Jacob Thiem, who placed third in the same year. The full rider lineup is available for fans to explore online.
Wakeboarding Returns to Olympic Lake with Strong Field
Wakeboarding fans will enjoy another top-tier contest on the Olympic Lake, featuring twelve men and six women competing on a technically demanding setup. The women’s field includes returning champion Rivers Hendrick (USA), Italy’s Claudia Pagnini, and Campbell Scarborough (USA), who took third place last year. Germany’s Anne Freyer will also challenge the international field.
Among the men, a potential sibling rivalry is brewing between Americans Gavin and Trent Stuckey, who finished first and second in 2024. Britain’s Rudy Talboys, last year’s third-place finisher, also returns. German riders Nico von Lerchenfeld (Cologne), Dominik Gührs (Munich), and Felix Georgii (Kranzegg) will bring strong local representation and aim to impress the home crowd.
