Preparations are also slowly beginning for the traditional St. Nicholas Market on December 5th and for the “Günzburger Altstadtweihnacht” in the Dossenberger Hof, running from December 3rd to 6th, 2025. The Senior Citizens’ Association of the Günzburg district is also hosting an Advent market in the Kolpingsaal in Günzburg this year, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Traditionally held on the third Advent weekend, the “Schlossweihnacht Burgau” (Burgau Castle Christmas) takes place this year from Friday, December 12, to Sunday, December 14, 2025. Visitors can look forward to musical performances, craft demonstrations, gift ideas, and treats. It is open from 7 PM to 11 PM.

The romantic Advent market at Edelstetten Castle, traditionally scheduled for the first Advent weekend, takes place this year from November 28 to 30. It is open Friday from 6 PM to 9:30 PM, Saturday from 4 PM to 9:30 PM, and Sunday from 1 PM to 8 PM.
A highlight, especially for children, is the “Christkindlesmarkt” in the castle courtyard of the Zehntstadel in Leipheim. This year again, there will be a colorful program organized by children for children. The market is planned for Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2 PM to 7 PM. It will feature handmade crafts and baked goods, celebrated with children’s punch and a visit from St. Nicholas. Admission is free.
The Kolpingsfamilie Ichenhausen is, as always, responsible for the Christmas Market in Ichenhausen on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14, 2025. On the palace square near the Bavarian School Museum, local clubs, kindergartens, and businesses will offer their products and food.
The Advent market in Jettingen-Scheppach on the town hall square takes place this year on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 4 PM to 9 PM. The organizer is the Jettingen-Scheppach municipality. As every year, there will be musical accompaniment.

The “Adventszauber” (Advent Magic) at Planet Bambi forest (Ursberger Straße 31), organized by the Planet Bambi – Gisela and Theo Grabowski Foundation, is open on the weekends of November 29-30, December 6-7, December 13-14, and December 20-21. Hours are Saturdays from 5 PM to 9 PM and Sundays from 4 PM to 8 PM.
The “Dorfplatzzauber” (Village Square Magic) in Breitenthal enters its third round this year, taking place on Saturday and Sunday, November 22-23, 2025, on the village square. The market runs Saturday from 3 PM to 9:30 PM and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 7 PM. There will be numerous exhibitors and a continuous supporting program, including a visit from St. Nicholas and pony rides. The event is organized and accompanied musically by the Breitenthal Music Club.
On Sunday, November 23, 2025, visitors can stroll through the “Plätzlesmarkt” in Krumbach from 1 PM to 5 PM and perhaps pick up some gifts during the simultaneously held “verkaufsoffener Sonntag” (shops open Sunday). The Hürben Christmas Market at the Gasthof Munding is this year on Saturday, December 6. Additionally, the cult “Weihnachtsmarkt im Stückwerk” takes place on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14, 2025.
On Saturday and Sunday, November 22-23, 2025, from 11 AM to 7 PM each day, the “Ursberger Adventszauber” (Ursberg Advent Magic) opens again. Around St. Joseph’s Square in Ursberg, you’ll find refined gift ideas, culinary offerings, and a diverse cultural program. On Sunday at 3:30 PM, the Augsburg choir “Voices of Joy” will perform a pop and gospel concert in the St. Florian Chapel.
A date is also set for the “Christkindlesmarkt Ziemetshausen”: it takes place from December 5 to 7, 2025, in the Christmas village on the museum grounds. The organizer is the local Trade and Commerce Association.
On the first Advent weekend, the “Rettenbacher Dorfweihnacht” (Rettenbach Village Christmas) takes place, specifically on Friday, November 28, 2025, starting at 5 PM. This Advent and Christmas market is particularly popular with families. The Village Christmas was initiated by Mayor Sandra Dietrich-Kast in 2010. The organizer is the municipality together with local clubs and active citizens.
