The end of the cattle drive season in the Allgäu marks the start of the winter sports season. If you plan to ski or snowboard frequently this winter, you might be considering a seasonal pass. Most ski resorts in the region participate in the “Superschnee” and “Allgäu-Gletscher-Card” (which includes the Pitztal and Kaunertal glaciers). However, the price for these passes increases every year, typically in line with price hikes at the participating resorts.
Most ski lift operators in the Allgäu have not yet announced their prices for the 2025/2026 winter season, but the seasonal pass prices have already been set.
Price for the 2025/2026 “Superschnee” Seasonal Pass
The “Superschnee” seasonal pass is valid in the Allgäu, Kleinwalsertal, and Tannheim Valley for the upcoming season, from October 1, 2025, to May 3, 2026. This means it can be used for hiking in October as well as for skiing.
Here are the prices for the 2025/2026 “Superschnee” pass:
Adult (born 2007 or older): €666
Youth (born 2008 to 2009): €260
Students, Apprentices, etc. (born 2000 to 2007): €400
Child (born 2010 to 2019): €220
“Murmele” (born 2020 or younger): €145
How Much the 2025/2026 “Allgäu-Gletscher-Card” Costs
The “Allgäu-Gletscher-Card” is a more comprehensive pass than the “Superschnee” card. As the name suggests, it also includes glacier ski resorts. In addition to the Allgäu, Kleinwalsertal, and Tannheim Valley, pass holders can also ski on the Pitztal and Kaunertal glaciers. The Pitztal Glacier opens on September 27, and the “Allgäu-Gletscher-Card” will be valid there from that date until May 3, 2026. In the Allgäu, Kleinwalsertal, and Tannheim Valley, the card is valid from October 1 until May 3, 2026. The Kaunertal Glacier season starts on October 3, and here the pass is valid until May 25, 2026.
Here are the prices for the 2025/2026 “Allgäu-Gletscher-Card”:
Adult (born 2007 or older): €828
Youth (born 2008 to 2009): €662
Students, Apprentices, etc. (born 2000 to 2007): €662
Child (born 2010 to 2019): €455
“Murmele” (born 2020 or younger): €180
The prices for these seasonal passes have once again risen significantly compared to last year. In the 2024/2025 season, the “Superschnee” adult pass cost €634, so it’s now €32 more expensive. The “Allgäu-Gletscher-Card” cost €789 for the previous season. At €828, its price has increased by a total of €39, or about five percent.
The “Superschnee” pass is worth buying if you plan to ski for about ten to twelve days or more in the upcoming season.
