Inmate Escapes from Traunstein Hospital During Treatment, Police Launch Manhunt

В субботу из больницы в городе Traunstein сбежал 35-летний заключённый, отбывавший наказание за серию краж. Он находился в учреждении для получения медицинской помощи.

A large-scale police operation, including helicopters and search dogs, is currently underway in the Traunstein area to locate the fugitive.

Escape During Medical Procedure

The inmate had been transferred to the hospital for surgery to treat a leg injury. According to police reports, the man took advantage of a brief, unmonitored moment to flee the facility. He escaped through the emergency department and was last seen running across a nearby hill in an unknown direction.

Intensive Search Operation in Progress

Authorities launched an immediate manhunt involving multiple patrol units, a police helicopter, and trained sniffer dogs. The goal is to apprehend the escaped prisoner as quickly as possible. Despite the rapid response, the man has not yet been located.

The escapee is described as between 1.82 and 1.84 meters tall, with short black hair and a receding hairline. He has a noticeable dark stubble beard and was last seen wearing a white tank top with blue seams and light blue pants, of which the right leg is missing and visibly bloodstained. He is not wearing shoes—only gray cloth socks.

Public Advised to Stay Alert

Police say the man does not pose an immediate threat to the public, but they urge caution. Residents in the area are advised not to approach suspicious individuals, avoid picking up hitchhikers, and report any sightings to the authorities immediately.

Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the Traunstein police station. In case of an encounter, the public is strongly advised to call emergency services at 110 and not attempt to intervene.
